FORMÅL

The Misool Eco Resort har været primus motor i oprettelesen af en NO TAKE ZONE syd og øst for Misool, hvor fiskeri og anden udnyttelse af havet ikke er tilladt. Vi ville undersøge, om det havde en positiv virkning på UV-faunaen, og hvordan man bar sig ad med at køre projektet. 

Igen var det vores foldekajak fra Klepper som måtte lægge krop til strabadserne.

Misool Island:

This is one of four major islands in the Raja Ampat Islands in West Papua (formerly Irian Jaya), Indonesia. It’s area is 2.034 km². The highes point is 561 m. above sea level and the main towns are Waigama and Lilinta.

The island is covered in rainforest and some rivers find their way out from the interior. On the south east is a group of islands, most of them uninhabited. Here the coral reefs and the fish life is with a very high diversity. It is around these islands our expedition took place.
